What Therapy Looks Like
Therapy sessions are play-based, engaging, and individualized. We use each child’s strengths, interests, and preferred learning style to guide therapy, making sessions motivating, meaningful, and fun.
Sessions may include:
Play-based activities
Movement and hands-on learning
Games and interactive tasks
Visual supports
Parent coaching and collaboration
All therapy is grounded in evidence-based practice and designed to support functional communication skills that carry over into daily life.
Health care providers are required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as the State of Alaska, to make standard service charges publicly available. In accordance with these guidelines, we provide a list of commonly used speech-language therapy codes and associated fees for your reference.
At Far North Speech Therapy, we support transparent health care pricing and believe families should have access to clear information when making decisions about their child’s care.
Below you will find a link to a list of commonly used speech-language therapy service codes and their standard rates.
Please note that listed charges reflect the standard fee for each service and may not represent the amount you are responsible for paying. A family’s out-of-pocket cost depends on several factors, including:
Insurance coverage and benefits
Deductibles and copays
The frequency and duration of services
The individualized treatment plan
Because speech therapy is often ongoing and tailored to each child’s needs, total costs may vary over time.
We strongly encourage families to contact their insurance provider directly to better understand their specific benefits and coverage for speech-language services.
